Principal's Report
We are half-way through our very busy, final term at Allora P-10 State School and we are seeing positive and engaging learning experiences in all classrooms. Please follow our school Facebook page to see all the work that is occurring in classrooms and around the school. Your children are all working very hard on learning tasks and it is wonderful to visit classrooms and ask them what they are learning, how they are going and where they can go to for help. Our classrooms are humming along!
This week we have been focusing on kindness throughout the whole school. Our students have been adding messages to classmates and teachers to our Kindness Tree. The kind thoughts and appreciation they are showing each other demonstrates the sincere appreciation we all have for each other.
WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY
We are so very fortunate at Allora P-10 State School to have a hardworking and dedicated teaching team and we celebrated them with a special afternoon tea (provided by the exceptional teacher aides and administrative staff, thank you all so much!) on Friday 25 October. I am sure you all join with me in thanking the teachers for being inspiring, motivating and guiding our students to success.
PREP CLASS OF 2025
Our Prep class of 2025 and their families have been transitioning into school life this term. It has been wonderful to meet our new students and their families and see how excited they all are about coming to school. If you know of anyone who has a child eligible for Prep in 2025, please encourage them to come and see all the great things that happen at Allora State School! Enrolments are due to the office as soon as possible to secure your place and interview time. All 2025 Prep students (and their friends) are invited to attend our Get Set for Prep program held on each Friday in November.
END OF YEAR AWARDS AND CELEBRATIONS
Our 2024 Secondary Awards will be held on Tuesday 19 November. I look forward to celebrating the successes of our secondary students with you all on this evening. Our Primary Awards and end of year concert will be held on Friday 6 December in the hall from 9am.
Kind regards,
Megan

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Term 4 brings to an end a busy year for sport at Allora P -10 SS. To complete our year, our students are involved in a broad range of activities including swimming, tennis, ball sports, basketball, water polo and scooter board activities. Thank you to Mr Bowman for ensuring that our school grounds and facilities are in such excellent order to support our Physical Education program. The teachers involved in the school deserve recognition for their efforts in providing opportunities for our students. Teacher Aides ably support our teaching staff in this program, particularly our swimming program and this support is greatly appreciated. The support of local sporting clubs for our Physical Education and sporting programs continued once again in 2024 and is always appreciated.
